Skills for Life

Skills for LifeWhat are FSC’s Skills for Life Qualifications?

The Skills for Life qualifications provided by Future Strategies Consulting Ltd (FSC) are unique programmes that have been specifically designed to develop your ability to read, write and speak English and to use mathematics at a level necessary to function and progress at work and in society in general.

Our Skills for Life programmes are unique in that the qualifications are embedded into our FLEX range of over 300 modules so that, as well as gaining a literacy or numeracy qualification, you can develop your knowledge, skills and understanding of a subject area of your choice.

How does it work?

Delivered over a period of 12-16 weeks FSC’s Skills for Life qualifications are a unique opportunity to improve your literacy or numeracy ability and your understanding of a work related subject.

Based on modular workbooks, our specialist trainers deliver Skills for Life qualifications through a series of taught sessions, individual work, activities, structured questions, and assignments.

As you complete these activities and develop your portfolio, your specialist trainer will provide you with appropriate levels of support and guidance to assist in your literacy or numeracy development and develop your understanding of the subject.

Once you have completed your portfolio of activities, your specialist trainer will then provide you with the appropriate level of support to prepare you to complete the Skills for Life multiple-choice test paper. Completing a Skills for Life multiple-choice test paper will give you a nationally recognised certificate to mark your literacy or numeracy development.
